What's Not Included in Deep Cleaning?
Our professional deep cleaning service targets accumulated dirt, grease, limescale and buildup in accessible areas of your home. However, certain tasks, specialist treatments and additional services are not included in standard cleaning. Please review the exclusions, available extras and preparation requirements below to understand what your booking covers and avoid unexpected charges or delays.
What's Excluded from Our Deep Cleaning Service?

Professional Carpet Cleaning
Vacuuming accessible carpets and rugs is included in our standard deep cleaning service. However, intensive carpet cleaning, including steam extraction, shampooing and stain or odour treatments, is not included. These treatments require specialised equipment and must be booked separately. If your carpets have embedded dirt, persistent stains or unpleasant odours, we recommend arranging professional carpet cleaning.
Floor Scrubbing and Polishing
During our deep cleaning service, floors are thoroughly vacuumed and mopped to remove dust, dirt, and surface grime. However, intensive floor scrubbing to remove stubborn stains or scuff marks, as well as floor polishing to restore shine, are not included. These treatments require specialized equipment and additional time and can be booked as separate services, subject to availability.
Moving Heavy Items
Our deep cleaning service covers safely accessible areas only. Our cleaners do not move heavy furniture or appliances, including refrigerators, washing machines, beds, dressers, dryers or large cabinets, to clean underneath or behind them. This helps prevent potential damage and safety risks. If you would like these areas cleaned, please move the items beforehand to ensure the spaces are safely accessible to our cleaning team.
Removing tough hard water stains from glass, metal, or tile surfaces may require intensive treatment. Our deep cleaning team will address water marks that are reasonably removable during the service. However, if the buildup is extensive or covers large areas, please inform us in advance and provide photos, as this may require additional time or a specialized service.
Permanent Bathroom Stains
Stains on tiles, tubs, sinks, or glass that have been left untreated for a long period may become permanent. While our deep cleaning service will significantly improve the appearance of these surfaces, permanent stains or discoloration cannot always be fully removed. Our team will make every effort to reduce visible marks, but complete restoration may not always be possible.
Mold and Mildew Removal
Minor surface mould or mildew covering a combined area of up to 50 cm × 50 cm may be treated during standard deep cleaning where safely possible. Larger affected areas require our specialised mould removal service, which must be booked separately, subject to availability. Mould embedded in silicone sealant may not be removable through cleaning alone. Weschoon does not remove or replace silicone sealant.
Limescale Removal
Our deep cleaning service includes removing moderate limescale buildup on faucets, shower glass, sinks, and bathroom surfaces. However, heavy limescale buildup caused by long-term accumulation may require specialized descaling treatment, which may involve additional time or a separate service.
Vents and Filters
During deep cleaning, accessible vents may be lightly dusted externally. However, removing filters and thoroughly cleaning inside ventilation systems is not included. If detailed vent or filter cleaning is required, this should be arranged as a separate service.
Structural or Maintenance Issues
Deep cleaning focuses on improving cleanliness and hygiene but does not include repairs or maintenance work. Issues such as broken appliances, damaged fixtures, plumbing problems, scratched glass, or structural damage should be resolved before the cleaning appointment.
Heavy Grease or Long-Term Neglect
Kitchens or areas with extreme grease buildup or long-term neglect may require additional time and specialised cleaning treatments beyond the standard deep cleaning scope. In such cases, additional cleaning may need to be booked separately, subject to availability and an adjusted quotation.
Access to Areas
Our team cleans accessible areas only. For safety reasons, we do not dismantle fixtures or move heavy furniture and appliances to reach hidden areas. If you would like these spaces cleaned, please ensure they are accessible prior to the cleaning appointment.
Stubborn Cooking Residue
Removing burnt or baked-on grease from stoves, countertops, backsplashes, and tiles may require intensive cleaning. Our deep cleaning team will work to remove visible cooking residue and grease buildup; however, stains that have developed over a long period may become permanent. While we will make every reasonable effort to improve these surfaces, complete removal of permanent stains cannot be guaranteed.
Kitchenware
Our deep cleaning service focuses on cleaning surfaces and fixed areas of the kitchen. Cleaning kitchenware such as utensils, dishes, pots, frying pans, cups, and small appliances is not included. Clients are responsible for ensuring that any kitchenware stored in cabinets is cleaned and organized prior to the cleaning appointment.
Wood Stain Treatment
Deep cleaning includes wiping and cleaning wooden surfaces such as cabinets, shelves, and furniture where applicable. However, wood stain removal or wood treatment is not included. If wooden surfaces require refinishing, stain treatment, or restoration, these services should be arranged separately.
Kitchen Baseboards
Standard deep cleaning includes light dusting of accessible skirting boards. However, detailed cleaning, scrubbing and removal of stubborn dirt or stains are not included and must be booked as an additional service. Removing skirting boards or dismantling kitchen fixtures to clean underneath cabinets is not included. Please ensure all areas requiring cleaning are safely accessible before the appointment.
Appliance Cleaning
During deep cleaning, our team will clean the exterior surfaces of kitchen appliances such as ovens, refrigerators, microwaves, and dishwashers. Interior appliance cleaning may require additional time and can be selected as an extra service when booking. Repairs, maintenance, or replacement of faulty appliance parts are not included in the cleaning service.
Organizing and Decluttering
Our deep cleaning service does not include organising, sorting personal belongings or decluttering. Customers must clear floors and surfaces, organise their belongings and ensure all areas requiring cleaning are safely accessible before the appointment. If inadequate preparation causes delays or prevents the agreed cleaning tasks, additional charges may apply. Weschoon reserves the right to refuse or discontinue cleaning where conditions prevent safe or effective service.
Walls and Ceilings
Wall and ceiling cleaning is not part of our standard deep cleaning service. Our cleaners do not wash, scrub or remove stains, grease marks, mould or discolouration from walls and ceilings. These tasks require additional time, suitable equipment and specialised cleaning methods. Wall and ceiling cleaning must be booked as a separate service, subject to availability.
Removing Large Items or Rubbish
Weschoon does not provide rubbish removal or waste disposal services. Our cleaners only take out one trash bag (maximum 60 litres) containing waste generated during the cleaning appointment. Removing household rubbish, unwanted belongings, furniture, appliances or other accumulated waste is the customer’s responsibility. All such items must be removed before the scheduled cleaning to ensure the property is accessible and ready for service.
Mechanical or Utility Rooms
Cleaning mechanical rooms or technical utility spaces is not included due to potential safety risks. These areas may require specialized handling and should be addressed separately if cleaning is required.
Radiator Cleaning
Radiators will be dusted and cleaned externally during deep cleaning. However, detailed cleaning inside radiator fins or behind fixed radiators is not included and may require a separate service.
High-Risk or Hazardous Areas
Standard deep cleaning does not cover hazardous conditions such as fire damage, biohazards, sewage contamination or other unsafe environments. These situations require specialist assessment and treatment. Weschoon offers a separate mould removal service, subject to availability and assessment of the affected area. Our cleaners may refuse or discontinue work where conditions pose health or safety risks.
Light Fixtures and High Ceilings
Accessible surfaces may be dusted during deep cleaning. However, cleaning chandeliers, pendant lights, ceiling fans, or very high ceilings requiring ladders or specialized equipment is not included unless arranged in advance.
Upholstery Cleaning
Deep cleaning focuses on fixed surfaces and living areas. Deep cleaning of upholstered furniture, such as sofas, chairs, or mattresses, including stain and odor removal, requires a separate upholstery cleaning service.
Pest Control
Deep cleaning does not cover pest issues such as rodents, insects, or infestations. Pest control must be handled by licensed professionals before or after the cleaning service if required.
Outdoor Spaces
Standard deep cleaning focuses on indoor areas. Cleaning outdoor spaces such as balconies, terraces, gardens, decks, or communal staircases is not included unless booked as a separate service.
Extreme Mess or Hoarding Situations
Properties with excessive clutter, heavy contamination, hoarding conditions, or severe neglect may require specialized cleaning services beyond standard deep cleaning. If this applies to your property, please inform us in advance so we can recommend the appropriate service.
Appliance Cleaning
If you request cleaning for appliances such as the oven, refrigerator, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, extractor hood, or dryer, please note that this service covers cleaning only. Replacement of filters, maintenance, or repairs of appliances are not included in our deep cleaning service.
Cabinets and Wardrobes
Our deep cleaning extra service focuses on cleaning the interior and exterior surfaces of cabinets and wardrobes once they are empty. Cleaning personal items stored inside cabinets or wardrobes is not included. We recommend removing and organizing these items before the cleaning appointment to allow our team full access to the interior surfaces.
Windows
Window cleaning is not part of our standard deep cleaning service and must be booked separately, subject to availability. Interior and exterior window cleaning are available for safely accessible windows. Exterior windows can be cleaned through inward-opening windows, from secure balconies or using a water-fed pole up to the third floor. Weschoon does not use ladders, scaffolding or lifting equipment for window cleaning.
