What's not included in Our Move Out Cleaning Service Amsterdam
Our move out cleaning services provide a detailed and thorough cleaning of the property, ensuring it is prepared for the next tenant or meets the landlord’s expectations. While our services are extensive, they may not include every task required during a property handover. Familiarize yourself with what is excluded to plan effectively and avoid unexpected expenses or disputes.
Move out Cleaning Amsterdam
Activities excluded from our move out cleaning services.
Professional Carpet Cleaning
Though vacuuming carpets is included, deep carpet cleaning (steam cleaning or shampooing) is not included in our standard end of tenancy cleaning service. Stains, odors, or heavily soiled carpets usually require specialized equipment and techniques, which come as a separate service. Do you need your carpet to be deep cleaned? then you can book the service here.
Floor Scrubbing and Polishing
As part of our service, the floors will be thoroughly vacuumed and mopped to remove dust, dirt, and surface grime. However, tasks such as scrubbing floors to remove stubborn stains or scuff marks, as well as polishing to restore their original shine, are not included in our standard move out cleaning package. These specialized services often require additional equipment and expertise, which are outside the scope of our offering. If your floors require scrubbing or polishing, we recommend arranging these separately to ensure the property is in top condition.
Moving Heavy Items
Our move out cleaning service typically include moving of light or semi-light items, such as chairs, side table, to clean the floor. However, we do not move heavy furniture or appliances, such as refrigerators, washing machines, dressers, beds, entertaiment centers, dryers, etc. to clean the floor behind or underneath them. This is to avoid potential risks or damage associated with moving heavier items. If you would like those areas cleaned, you are welcome to move these items prior to our cleaning session and make it accessible for our cleaning team to clean underneath them.
Stubborn Hard Water Marks
Removing tough water stains from glass, metal, or tile surfaces involves an intensive deep cleaning process. Our move out cleaning team will address water stains on these surfaces as long as they are reasonably affected. However, if the stains are extensive or cover large areas, please inform us in advance, as this would be considered an additional service outside of our standard move-out cleaning package. Removing heavy water stains requires significant time and effort, so proper planning ensures the best results.
Permanent Bathroom Stains
Persistent stains on tiles, tubs, glass, or sinks that have been left untreated for an extended period may become permanent. Removing such permanent stains in the bathroom or toilet is not included in our move-out cleaning service. While our team will make every effort to reduce or eliminate these stains, some may no longer be restorable due to their severity. Unfortunately, no cleaning method can fully remove permanent damage. To prevent this, we recommend addressing stains promptly to avoid long-term buildup or discoloration.
Mold and Mildew Removal
Removing mold or mildew from surfaces, ceilings, tiles, glass, walls, or windows requires specialized treatment. While we may address minor mold during our move-out cleaning session, extensive mold infestations in the bathroom or toilet, are not included in the standard service. For such cases, we recommend booking a separate mold removal service to ensure thorough and effective treatment.
Limescale Removal
Removing limescale from surfaces like tiles, tubs, faucets, and shower glass requires intensive scrubbing and can be time-consuming. Since the move out cleaning team has numerous tasks to complete, efficient time management is crucial. The team will address a reasonable amount of limescale on bathroom and toilet surfaces. Extensive limescale removal is not included in move-out cleaning. If there is significant buildup of limescale due to poor cleaning maintenance culture, we recommend booking a limescale removal service separetely.
Vents and Filters
Cleaning the air vents in the bathroom and toilet is not included in our move-out cleaning service. While our team may remove dust and clean around the vents if they are easily accessible, removing filters and thoroughly cleaning the vents is not part of the service. If you require vent and filter cleaning, this can be arranged as an additional service or handled separately. Ensure any specific vent cleaning needs are addressed before the cleaning team arrives.
Structural Issues:
We do not handle structural issues, broken appliances, or plumbing repairs during move-out cleaning. If you notice significant damage, such as broken windows, scratches on the glass shower, large holes in the walls or tiles, or extensive water damage, these issues should be resolved before our cleaning team arrives. You may need to hire a separate contractor to manage the necessary repairs.
Stubborn Cooking Residue
Removing burnt or baked-on residue from stoves, countertop, and tiles requires intensive cleaning. If cooking residue and grease are left on surfaces for an extended period, they can become tough, permanent stains. Our cleaning team will make every effort to remove these residues, but if the stains persist, it indicates they are permanent. Hence, the removal of permanent stains is not included in our end-of-tenancy cleaning services.
Kitchenware
Cleaning kitchenware, including tools, utensils, appliances, dishes, pots, frying pans, cups, and cookware, is not part of our move-out cleaning services. Our cleaning team will not clean these items during the end of tenancy cleaning. If your apartment is furnished, it is your responsibility to ensure that all kitchenware is cleaned before our team arrives. Make sure everything is ready in advance to avoid disruption to our service. Also, we do not line or relining cabinets or ovens/stoves.
Wood stain treatment
Wood stain treatment is not included in our end of tenancy cleaning services. This type of treatment is outside the scope of what we provide during move-out cleaning. If your wooden surfaces require stain treatment, it will need to be arranged separately. Ensure any wood treatments are taken care of before the cleaning team arrives.
Kitchen baseboards
Cleaning underneath the baseboards is not included in end of tenancy cleaning. We do not remove kitchen baseboards to clean underneath the cabinets. If you would like these areas cleaned, please remove the baseboards beforehand to make them accessible for our team. Ensure this is done prior to the arrival of the cleaning crew to avoid any delays.
Appliance cleaning
During move-out cleaning, our team will clean the exterior surfaces of appliances such as ovens, refrigerators, and microwaves. Cleaning the interior of these appliances is considered an additional service, which can be selected when booking your move-out cleaning. Repairing or replacing parts of faulty appliances is not included in our end-of-tenancy cleaning services. Any appliance issues should be addressed with your contractor or maintenance personnel.
Organizing and Decluttering
Our move-out cleaning service is focused on deep cleaning and specifically on cleaning tasks. The cleaning team is there to clean, not to organize or declutter your home. All tidying up and organizing should be done before the team arrives. Our cleaners will not sort through your belongings; they are hired to ensure the property is cleaned to meet end of tenancy standard and not to organize your space.
Walls and Ceilings
Our move-out cleaning service typically includes dusting baseboards and cleaning door frames, but it does not cover full cleaning of walls and ceilings. Washing all walls and ceilings is a separate service that requires additional time and equipment, and is not included in the end-of-tenancy cleaning. If your walls and ceilings are particularly dirty, you can request a wall and ceiling cleaning service, or alternatively, consider painting the apartment before moving out.
Removing Large Items or Rubbish
Disposing of unwanted furniture, appliances, or large amounts of rubbish is not included in our standard move-out cleaning service. Tenants are responsible for removing all personal belongings and trash from the property prior to the arrival of our cleaning team. Make sure the property is cleared of any large items or debris before the cleaning begins.
Mechanical Room
Cleaning the property’s mechanical room is not included in our move-out cleaning service. The safety of our cleaners is our top priority, and these areas may involve potential hazards. For the safety of everyone involved, any cleaning in the mechanical room should be handled separately. We recommend addressing this area before or after our cleaning service.
Radiator Cleaning
Deep cleaning of radiators is not included in the standard move-out cleaning service. The cleaning team will dust and clean the surface of the radiators, but a more thorough radiator deep cleaning can be arranged as a separate service if needed.
Cleaning High-Risk or Hazardous Areas
Our standard move-out cleaning services do not include areas that are unsafe or require specialized cleaning techniques, such as mold remediation, fire damage cleaning, or handling biohazards. These situations require professional services beyond the scope of end of tenancy cleaning. If your property requires such services, it is your responsibility to arrange for the appropriate service. Ensure any hazardous or specialized cleaning needs are addressed before our cleaning team arrives.
Cleaning Light Fixtures and High Ceilings
While dusting accessible surfaces is included in our move-out cleaning service, cleaning light fixtures such as chandeliers, pendant lights, flush mount lights, ceiling fans, or high ceilings requires specialized tools and additional time. As a result, these tasks are not part of our standard move-out cleaning service. If you would like these areas cleaned, communicate with us in advance, and we can arrange it as an additional service.
Upholstery Cleaning
Standard move out cleaning doesn’t include deep cleaning of upholstered furniture. Removing stains or odors on sofas, chairs, or mattresses require a separate upholstery cleaning service.
Pest Control
End of tenancy cleaning services do not cover issues such as rodent or insect infestations. Pest control requires licensed professionals who are equipped to address the problem safely and effectively. If your property is experiencing a pest issue, we recommend arranging for specialized pest control services separately.
Outdoor Space
Our move-out cleaning service focuses on indoor living spaces. Cleaning of outdoor areas such as garden, balconies, decks, terraces, and communal building staircases or hallways is not included. If you require cleaning for these outdoor spaces, you can book them separately on our website.
Cleaning Extreme Messes
If the property has an excessive amount of clutter, dirt, or stains, it goes beyond the scope of a standard move-out clean. Such situations require specialized cleaning, especially in cases of hoarding, biohazards, mold, or pest waste, which need extra care and equipment. If there is a significant mess, inform us upfront so we can provide the appropriate service to restore the space to a healthy and functional condition.
Appliance
If you have requested cleaning for appliances such as the oven, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, extractor hood, or dryer, bear in mind that this service covers cleaning only. Replacement of filters or any repairs are not included in our end-of-tenancy cleaning service.
Cabinet and Wardrobe
Our move-out cleaning service does not include cleaning the items inside cabinets or wardrobes. The items will be removed to allow access to the interior of the cabinet or wardrobe for cleaning, and will be returned after the cleaning is complete. We recommend ensuring that all items in the cabinets or wardrobes are cleaned before the cleaning team arrives.
Exterior Windows
Cleaning the exterior of windows often requires ladders, scaffolding, or specialized equipment, and is typically treated as a separate service. If the windows open inward, you can select the option to have the exterior windows cleaned in the quote. Only then will the move-out cleaning team be able to clean the outside of the windows.

7 Cleaning Preparation
Good to Know
Important Reminders for Move out Cleaning
- Ensure all personal belongings are removed before the end-of-tenancy cleaning begins.
- A ladder is not part of standard cleaning equipment. If needed to reach high areas, it is the client’s responsibility to provide one for the cleaning team.
- If you are providing the cleaning supplies, ensure they are the correct type and in sufficient quantity for the team to complete their tasks.
- After the cleaning is completed, it is the client’s responsibility to wash or clean items like microfiber cloths, the vacuum cleaner, and the mop used during the service.
- Schedule your end-of-tenancy cleaning for when you are ready to leave the property.
- For the best experience, assess the cleaning before the cleaning team leaves the premises to ensure satisfaction with the service provided.
- Do not remain in the property after the professional cleaning has been completed. Staying afterward may result in areas becoming dirty again, and it will be difficult for you to match the thorough cleaning standards achieved by the professional cleaners.
